Chaired by Isabelle Strasser and directed by Antoine Petrus, Maisons & amp; Vignobles has just acquired one of the jewels of the Beaumes de Venise appellation.
“It’s a crush on a renowned domain, opposite the Dentelles de Montmirail. I have a deep love for very ripe Muscat. When you have such a terroir, it’s an honor ”. Antoine Petrus, CEO of the group since November 2020 , affirms it, it is a choice of heart and team.
Since joining the structure, the double MOF, sommelier (2011) and butler (2018) is on all sites, at the restaurant “La Mère Germaine” and its hotel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but also in the vineyards and at the vinifications. Isabelle Strasser already owns the La Millière à Orange (Châteauneuf du Pape Côtes du Rhône Villages and Côtes du Rhône appellation) and La Pousterle à Ansouis (Luberon appellation) estates.
The acquisition of the Domaine de Coyeux thus expands the company’s heritage, while bringing it a little more luster. The first vines of this vast 112-hectare farm in one piece date from the 1950s. The estate was taken over in 2013 by Hugues de Feraudy, whose family was already established in Vaucluse in the 10th century.
In organic conversion, the estate produces the Beaumes de Venise, VDN Muscat Beaumes de Venise and Gigondas appellations. Ideally located at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, its wine tourism vocation is obvious. New collaborators will join the existing team.
