19th Century wine chateau over 100 ha at 40 min from Montpellier

This beautiful property is found in close proximity to a lovely tourist loved town, highly appreciated by a top quality clientele. The motorway exits are located 15 min from the domain, and the international airport of Montpellier is 40 min away.

Wine Château

This beautiful château, dating back to the 1830’s, is in good condition and offers 1 300 m² of living surface (2 floors of 500 m² and 1 floor of 300m²).
On the ground floor, a large entrance hall serves the various reception rooms. The whole estate consists of 20 rooms including 10 bedrooms with a parental suite with its sauna area. A large swimming-pool (10X15) incites recreation in a park planted with ancient cedar trees.

Vineyard

The grape varieties have been renewed these last years, and 3 complementary terroirs allow the production of a varied and qualitative range of wines. The AOP Languedoc and IGP d’Oc vineyard, representing approximately 68 ha of planted vines. The average yield reaches approximately 40hl/ha. The vineyard is partially irrigated.

Outbuildings

In the château grounds, a caretaker’s house needs renovation. 300 m from the château with a private entrance, a U-shaped set of farm buildings shelters the farm machinery and the workshops. 4 personnel apartments, of which one is in good condition, fit into these buildings.

Winery

The huge vinification cellar is adjacent to the château and shelters a tanks (stainless steel and concrete) with a capacity exceeding 7 000 hl. The large volume of the winery also allows the ageing in barrels for some premium wines.
